Kat Karpati
Kat leads Hatch in finding compelling ways to build and bring brands to consumers founded in the rich insights she’s honed over the past 13 years. She is a yoga-teaching, long-distance running, strategic and creative thinker—if you’re lucky she may also lead you in a fast-paced vinyasa flow.

Nicole Flores
Nicole is expert at integrating design elements of days past with dynamic, modern styles of the present. With more than 11 years experience, she’s a keen problem solver with a firm grasp on raising a brand’s relevance. Nicole does not drink coffee. Ever.

VP Account Director
Brenda Bender
Brenda has an extensive background in strategy, branding and the creative process. In her spare time, she can be found Pinteresting her next favorite meal, usually incorporating her favorite kitchen tool, the blow torch.

Nicole Love
Nicole is truly a citizen of the world: Born in Belgium and raised Scottish in the Bay Area and Singapore. Her love of books and travel has honed her creative problem solving skills and as she pursued English and Advertising degrees at Boston U., her interest in design was sparked rowing on the Charles and the antithesis of fluidity and structure combining in the stroke.

R. Eugene Heard
Eugene’s design work is informed by his passion for shaping a better future. As a citizen of both Japan and America, his perspective about culture and language provides a unique duality. Eugene’s passion project is creating a children’s book, which he is currently workshopping with his three daughters.

Maxwell Churchill
Maxwell’s design sensibilities are influenced by the clash of natural motifs with the grit of city life. His passion lies in expressive typography and environmental design, creating a range of interactive experiences. An overall enthusiastic and positive person, he also loves skateboarding, museum hopping, and going to hardcore shows.

Sean Morse
An avid snowboarder, Sean’s interest in design was sparked by snowboarding culture and design. He’s passionate about the intersection of strategy and design and has significant experience with design in the entertainment sector. His hobbies include running, which is one of his favorite ways to see and experience new cities, and attending music festivals.

Bryan Cleghorn
Bryan is drawn to all types of design; industrial, architecture, photography and typography. All influence his design approach. Bryan cannot be defined or pinned down by any one style, which adds to the excitement of what his next project will blossom into. He can be found exploring the Bay Area, at a music show, or visiting an art gallery.

Jerimy Lumia
Jerimy is a Southern California native with a strong passion for typography and logo design. He has extensive design experience in the apparel industry. He is an avid outdoor enthusiast, loves camping, backpacking, hiking as well as traveling. He loves seeing live music and comedy, and all things pertaining to Asian cuisine (except for Uni).

Tracy Lee
Tracy is an artist with a background in advertising, branding and illustration who is passionate about expressing herself through various mediums of art, inspiring people’s imaginations and stirring emotional connections. Born and raised in Seoul, Korea, she strives to create soulful and empowering work that transcends the borders of language and culture. In her spare time she can be found singing sappy, emotive melodies with her guitar.

Sasha Dusky
For Sasha, design is a way to share happiness and inject joy into someone’s day. She is a big fan of design history and likes to explore mixing old design elements into modern design, blending the past with the present. When out and about, Sasha might be studying plants, smiling at dogs, and riding her bike.

Kristen McGriff
Kristen is an illustration and type whiz, who appreciates fun and whimsical design. She has been passionate about design since she was young; wanting to be a fashion designer when she was growing up. Kristen keeps herself busy by taking care of her four birds and traveling all across the country.

Maria Elena Wong
Maria is our intern-turned-designer / illustrator. Originally from Lima, Peru she moved to the bay to pursue Graphic Design at the Academy of Art University. Although it is safe to say that she never really stops thinking about the next cool idea, Maria also finds enjoyment in learning new things, playing music, and drawing inspiration from adventures she takes. WARNING: DO NOT FEED AFTER MIDNIGHT.

Dang Vo
Dang is a multidisciplinary designer from Montreal. He has a diverse skill set in motion graphics, illustration, typography and photography art direction that allows him to provide a holistic approach at Hatch. Influenced by fashion, his designs have an edgy and wild aesthetic. Watercoloring and cooking for friends are some of his favorite activities.

Junior Designer
Yijing Yan
Born and raised in China, Yijing brings a unique perspective to her bold, colorful, and illustrative designs. She has a Master’s degree in graphic design from the Academy of Art University and enjoys finding inspiration both in her surroundings and in vintage prints. Send her a postcard to add to her collection!

Production Director
Richard Eriksson
Richard puts the final touches on every project and plays an incredibly pivotal role throughout the creative process. With more than 20 years in the business, his sense for detail and execution is unmatched. Richard is also rumored to be related to the late great Lief Eriksson.

Account Supervisor
Laila Moiré-Selvage
Laila is our enthusiastic Account Supervisor who can be summed up as a go-getter. Being raised on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii played a large role in Laila’s appreciation for nature. She loves hikes, has a passion for photography and enjoys her involvement at environmental non-profit, Action for Nature.

Ashley Ecker
Ashley has a background in advertising. Born in the bay, she spent her formative years in Colorado and graduated with an advertising degree from University of Colorado, Boulder. On the weekends you can find Ashley entertaining her one year old son. Oh, and she prefers a gin martini over vodka!

Chase Hatch
Chase (and yes, his last name is really Hatch – meant to be!) was born and raised in California however spent his formative years in Salt Lake City, Utah and only recently moved to beautiful San Francisco. When not at the office, Chase can be found watching movies, going to live music shows, or trying out the San Francisco restaurant scene.

Account Supervisor
Patrice Boswell
Patrice’s background is in branding and traditional advertising. A few of her strengths include attention to detail, organization, writing, and she excels at account management. Born and raised in Madison, Georgia, Patrice was excited to move to SF and explore all the outdoor adventures; the mountains, beaches, and national parks that are all car ride away!

Jon-Pierre Micucci
JP is our Finance Manager and the writer, director, and producer of Hatch’s behind-the-scenes reel. Half left-brain, half right-brain, and all heart, he’s a lover of spreadsheets, movies, basketball, talking to strangers, and shooting pool.
